A Kylian Mbappe debut ticket is worth far less than most buyers expect
PSA catalogues thirteen separate Kylian Mbappe debuts across 213 graded tickets. Seven of the thirteen have never been publicly offered, and the one collectors actually want exists six times.
The assumption is reasonable. Mbappe is the most expensive footballer ever transferred, a World Cup winner at nineteen, and a name that will still be in the sport a decade from now. So a buyer arrives at this search expecting the figure to be large, and it is not. Across the whole graded market there has been one public sale of the ticket from his professional debut, at Goldin in December 2022, for $3,360. Every other Kylian Mbappe debut ticket that has changed hands in public sold for less than that, and the median of all of them is $338.50.
Which Kylian Mbappe debut ticket do you actually mean
This is the first thing that trips buyers up. PSA does not recognise one Mbappe debut, it recognises thirteen, spread over twenty separate catalogue entries and nine years. His professional debut, his first Ligue 1 start, his Champions League debut, the Champions League night he scored twice at Dortmund, his France debut, his first France start, his PSG debut, his first PSG home game, his World Cup debut, his first World Cup Final, his Real Madrid debut, a Europa League debut and even a Monaco derby debut all carry their own line on the population report. Between them they account for 213 graded tickets, which is 55% of every Mbappe ticket PSA has certified. Search for a Mbappe debut ticket and you are not shopping for an item, you are picking one out of thirteen.

Seven of the thirteen have never been publicly offered in the sold data we compile from Goldin, Heritage and Fanatics Collect. That includes the 25 graded copies of his Champions League full debut, the night he scored twice at Dortmund, which is the third largest Mbappe debut population on the report and has produced no auction result at all. Populations here are as of our 8 July 2026 census, cross-checked against live PSA readings on 14 August 2026.
How much is a Kylian Mbappe debut ticket worth right now
Twenty-four public sales, from $81.60 to $5,002.00, with a median of $338.50. Fifteen of the 24 finished under $500 and only four reached four figures. Strip out the single signed lot and the range narrows to $81.60 to $3,360.00 with a median of $305.00. Every figure comes from lots we track at Goldin, Fanatics Collect and Heritage between 4 October 2021 and 26 July 2026, with a nine-ticket collection lot and two lots sold with an original matchday programme removed so the prices describe one graded ticket each. We re-read 18 of the 24 grades off the certificate rather than trusting the auction title, because a title-parsed grade is not reliable enough to build a ladder on.
For the current number, only the last twelve months are worth reading, and they land in a narrow band. Five unsigned Mbappe debut tickets have sold since August 2025, at $671, $427, $384, $372 and $305. The most recent was 26 July 2026, when his Champions League debut full ticket at PSA VG-EX 4, cert 73528527, made $305 on a single bid in Goldin's Global Football sale, one of 32 lots we covered in that auction's results. A live PSA read on 14 August 2026 puts that slab at four copies at its grade with two graded higher. Nobody competed for it.
Stubs of the same match sit lower again. Eleven have sold, from $150 to $960, at a median of $300. The highest was also the earliest, $960 for a PSA GD 2 in March 2022 on 23 bids, in a Goldin lot whose certificate we could not resolve. The best documented result is a PSA EX-MT 6 at $720 in September 2022, cert 63149825, eleven copies at that grade with six higher. Since then the direction is one way: $195.20 for a PSA EX 5 in March 2024, then $167.14 for a PSA VG-EX 4 in January 2025 after 17 bids. A mid-grade France debut stub is a $150 to $200 item on every result since 2024.
Why is the Luxembourg ticket the one everybody owns
Because of where the tickets were printed, not because of what happened on the pitch. Mbappe's France debut was an away World Cup qualifier at the Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg City, a ground that holds 8,054 people. He came on for Dimitri Payet in the 78th minute of a 3-1 win in which he did not score. That fixture has produced 88 graded copies, more than any other Mbappe debut and 41% of the entire debut population, and it is the only one with a functioning secondary market.
Now count his French league debuts. His professional debut, his first Ligue 1 start, his PSG debut, his first PSG home game and his Monaco derby debut have 19 graded copies between all five of them. The pattern holds right across the catalogue: the four largest debut populations are a Luxembourg qualifier, a World Cup Final in Moscow, a Champions League tie in Dortmund and a European night at Stade Louis II. What a French league match handed a supporter in the mid 2010s mostly was not a printed keepsake, and what was never printed cannot be graded. Rarity here records what the turnstile issued, not how important the night was, which is worth holding in mind when you compare these figures against the Cristiano Ronaldo debut ticket at 84 graded copies or a David Beckham debut ticket.
So the professional debut, the one a buyer actually wants, barely exists. PSA has graded six copies of the 2 December 2015 Monaco against Caen ticket: five full tickets and one stub. The full tickets are two at PSA GOOD 2, two at PSA EX-MT 6 and one at PSA NM-MT 8. The stub is a single PSA VG 3, cert 139975337, which a live read on 14 August 2026 confirms is a population of one with none graded higher. Mbappe replaced Fabio Coentrao after 88 minutes at Stade Louis II that night, aged 16 years and 347 days, to become the youngest player Monaco had ever fielded. You can check both forms on PSA's report for the set or open the group in our population database.
One private sale has been reported to us in the past year, around £1,500 for a PSA EX-MT 6 full ticket. We cannot verify a private transaction against any public record, so it sits outside every figure in this article, but it is consistent with what the public market says: the finest known copy of this ticket, the lone PSA NM-MT 8, has never appeared in the sold data we track, and the only copy that has been publicly priced is a GOOD 2.
What is the most a Kylian Mbappe debut ticket has ever sold for
Take the signature away and the record is the hero of this article, the $3,360 professional debut full ticket at PSA GOOD 2, cert 62615384, sold at Goldin on 4 December 2022 after 26 bids. Twenty-six bids is more than any other Mbappe debut lot on record has drawn, and the next highest unsigned result behind it is $1,586, set ten months later on a different ticket entirely.
The grade question splits in two, and the two answers are different. The highest grade that exists is PSA GEM MT 10, and there are exactly two across all 213 graded debut copies: one France debut full ticket and one World Cup Final hospitality ticket. Neither has ever been offered. The highest grade that has actually sold is PSA MINT 9, cert 72583382, a France debut full ticket that made $1,464 on three bids in October 2023. Read live on 14 August 2026 it is five copies at MINT 9 with one graded higher, so the single PSA 10 above it is the only better example in the world, and it has never carried a price. The full per-grade breakdown for both forms sits on PSA's report for the full ticket and the stub.
Is a Kylian Mbappe debut ticket a good buy
That single repeat sale is the argument in miniature. Being the only one in existence bought the seller nothing, because scarcity prices a ticket only where there is demand for it to amplify. The wider Mbappe market says the same thing: 35 sales, $38,198.14 in total, median $300, and 29 of the 35 under $1,000. That is every graded Mbappe ticket of any description, debuts and goals and trophies alike, over five years of auctions at three houses.
The practical reading for a buyer is straightforward. If you want the moment collectors recognise, the France debut is the only Mbappe debut with enough supply to buy on your own timetable, and a mid-grade stub costs under $200 while a high-grade full costs a few hundred. If you want the ticket that actually matters, the 2 December 2015 professional debut, there are six of them, one has ever been publicly priced, and you will be waiting for a seller rather than choosing between them. What you should not expect is a five-figure number. Nothing in nine years of results supports one.
Kylian Mbappe debut ticket questions
- Which match counts as Kylian Mbappe's debut ticket?
- His professional debut was 2 December 2015, Monaco 1-1 Caen at Stade Louis II, when he came on after 88 minutes aged 16 years and 347 days. PSA grades that ticket under its own catalogue line and has certified six copies of it, five full tickets and one stub. PSA separately catalogues twelve other Mbappe debuts, including his France debut, his Champions League debut, his World Cup debut and his Real Madrid debut, so an auction lot described as a "Mbappe debut ticket" may be any of thirteen different matches.
- How much does a Kylian Mbappe France debut ticket cost?
- The 25 March 2017 Luxembourg against France ticket is the only Mbappe debut with a regular market, at 88 graded copies. Stubs have sold eleven times between $150 and $960 at a median of $300, with the two most recent at $195.20 in March 2024 and $167.14 in January 2025. Full tickets have sold three times, most recently at $427 for a PSA NM-MT 8 in June 2026, down from $1,586 for the same item at the same grade in October 2023.
- Is there a PSA 10 Kylian Mbappe debut ticket?
- Two exist across all 213 graded Mbappe debut tickets, as of our 8 July 2026 population census: one France debut full ticket and one 2018 World Cup Final hospitality ticket. Neither has ever appeared at public auction in the sold data we track, so a PSA 10 Mbappe debut ticket has no market price. The highest grade that has actually sold is a PSA MINT 9 France debut full ticket at $1,464 in October 2023.
- Why are Mbappe's Ligue 1 debut tickets so rare?
- There are 19 graded copies in total across all five of his French league debut moments, including only six of his professional debut and four of his PSG debut. His away World Cup qualifier in Luxembourg has 88 on its own. The scarcity reflects what was physically printed and kept at those matches rather than anything about the games themselves, and it means a Ligue 1 Mbappe debut ticket is hard to buy at any price rather than expensive.
- Are signed Mbappe debut tickets worth more?
- Substantially, and it is the only route to a four-figure-plus result with any consistency. The record for any Mbappe debut ticket is $5,002 for a 2018 World Cup Final full ticket signed and inscribed "WC Champ!", graded only PSA VG 3 with the autograph certified by PSA/DNA, sold at Goldin in June 2026 after 20 bids. Unsigned copies of the same match have sold for $115 to $372.
- How do I check a Mbappe cert number before I bid?
- Search the certificate in our scans database and compare what PSA holds against what the lot title claims. Listing records regularly carry a mistyped certificate: of the 24 Mbappe debut sales in this article, four had certificate numbers that resolve on PSA to entirely unrelated items, one of which the auction house's own lot description corrected for us. If a certificate returns nothing, treat the grade in the title as unverified until you have seen the slab.
