There are 84 Cristiano Ronaldo debut tickets and only nine have ever sold
Eighty-four copies are graded and nine have sold in public. The same PSA 2 stub grade made $5,700 in 2021 and $1,952 in February 2026.
Ronaldo came on in the 58th minute, aged 17, in a goalless Champions League qualifier that Sporting CP went on to lose on aggregate. UEFA's own match report from that night does not mention him once, the only Ronaldo in it is Inter's Brazilian, whose absence the report blames for the lack of goals. The ticket printed for that game, Sporting CP against Inter Milan at the old Estádio José Alvalade on 14 August 2002, face value 10 euros, is now the fourth most heavily graded football debut ticket on PSA's report. Everything below comes from all nine public sales on record, drawn from the sold data we compile from Goldin, Heritage and Fanatics Collect, August 2021 to February 2026, plus a live PSA population read on 30 July 2026.
Two PSA 2 stubs, $5,700 and $1,952
Grade is the variable that usually explains a price gap. Here it cannot: both slabs read PSA GD 2, both are the same green Sporting stub with the same 10 euro face value and the same Sócio member field, and both closed at Goldin. The first made $5,700 in August 2021. The second made $1,952 in February 2026, a 66% fall on an identical label. The 2026 lot was the better tested of the two, hammering at $1,600 after 31 bids.
That is not one bad result. It is where the whole market settled. Strip out the August 2021 sale and the remaining seven stub sales run from $570 to $1,952 with a median of $930, across five years and three grades. The debut stub has never sold for four figures more than twice.
Nine sales in five years, and eight of them are stubs

Nine sales is a thin record for a player of Ronaldo's standing, and the money is thinner still: $14,763 in total. Set that against every Cristiano Ronaldo ticket we track, 97 sales worth $82,359 since August 2021, and his professional debut accounts for just 18% of the spend. The median Ronaldo ticket sale of any kind is $300, and 86% land under $1,000.
Where 84 graded copies came from
PSA has graded 84 examples of the 14 August 2002 ticket as of 30 July 2026: 76 stubs, seven full tickets, and one stub catalogued separately for glue residue. Nothing is encapsulated as Authentic. The grades run low, which is what a torn match-day stub should look like: 39 of the 76 stubs are PSA 1 and another 17 are PSA 1.5, so 74% of the population sits at 1 or 1.5. Eleven carry a qualifier such as MK for marks. The best stub in existence is a PSA 5, and there are two of them.
PSA issues cert numbers in strict sequence, so a cert number is a timestamp. We hold 55 of the 76 stubs in our scans database, and their cert numbers are not spread across two decades of submissions. They are stacked in one place.
Only three of the 55 carry a cert issued before the 63-million series, and the slab that made $5,700 in August 2021 is one of them, cert 61185055. The 46 certs in the 63 and 64 million bands were all issued after it, and by the time they reached auction in mid 2022 the same stub was selling for $570 to $1,080. Supply is still moving: our 8 July 2026 population census recorded 83 copies, and the 30 July live read returned 84.
How it ranks against football's other debut tickets
Both of Ronaldo's famous debuts sit near the top: 83 for Sporting CP and 65 for the Manchester United debut against Bolton on 16 August 2003. Only Messi's two debuts and Mbappé's first France cap are graded more heavily, and the Messi population is the one comparison where Ronaldo's supply looks modest. Against everything else on the report it is abundant. Ronaldinho's Barcelona debut has two graded copies against Ronaldo's 83, which is a useful reminder that graded population tracks how many people bothered to submit a ticket, not how many were printed.
The full ticket is the rare one, and it has sold once
The seven full tickets grade PR 1, FR 1.5 three times, GD 2, VG 3 and VG-EX 4. That PSA 4, cert 63955612, is the finest full ticket known and has never been to auction. Neither has either PSA 5 stub. The three best examples of the ticket in existence have not been publicly priced, which is the largest gap in this market. You can check both forms on PSA's report for the stub and the full ticket, or open the group in our population database.
The rarest Ronaldo Sporting tickets are the cheapest
Ronaldo played one season at Sporting and PSA catalogues eight distinct moments from it. The debut is the most graded by a factor of nearly four, and it is also the only one that sells for four figures. Everything genuinely scarce from that season trades below $600 or has never been offered at all.

His Primeira Liga debut away at Braga, the first time he appeared in the Portuguese league, has four graded copies and has never come to public auction in the data we hold. It is 21 times scarcer than the Champions League qualifier and carries no price at all. The market is not paying for rarity here. It is paying for the date collectors recognise.
The price today
The most recent and best-contested sale is the benchmark: a PSA 2 stub at $1,952 in February 2026 on 31 bids. Below that, a PSA 1 or 1.5 stub is a $570 to $1,080 item on every sale since 2022, and the two PSA 3 stubs made $930 and $960. The full ticket has one data point, $1,980 for the lowest possible grade in December 2022, and the three finest examples of the ticket in any form have never been offered. The 2021 record of $5,700 was set before the 63-million grading wave reached auction, and no sale since has come within $3,700 of it.
