Every figure here comes from the 14,703 graded ticket sales we hold between January 2020 and June 2026, worth $27,810,808 together, compiled from the auction houses we track. Volume is the sum of what every graded ticket sold for in that month. The chart is not a snapshot: it reads the same archive behind our sold auction records, so it redraws itself as results come in.
The money doubled, the typical ticket did not
3,480 graded tickets sold in the 12 months to June 2026, against 2,805 in the 12 before it. That is 24% more tickets. The money spent on them rose 110%. Both numbers describe the same market, and the gap between them is the finding: the average sale went from $1,294 to $2,188, while the median went only from $288 to $330. Half of every graded ticket sold still goes for under $330. The growth is concentrated at the top of the market, not spread across it.

One lot can make a month
February 2022 is still the tallest month on the chart at $2,846,838, and two lots in a single Heritage session on 27 February account for $948,000 of it, a third of the month. One was the 1947 Jackie Robinson debut stub in PSA 2 at $480,000, the other the 1984 Michael Jordan debut full ticket at $468,000, catalogued as the only known example. Neither is a market movement. Both are one object changing hands.
This is why the line has teeth instead of a curve. A few hundred graded tickets sell in a normal month, so a single six-figure lot moves the total more than everything else combined. Read the peaks as individual tickets, not as months when the whole market got busy. The Tickets sold view on the chart is the check: February 2022 saw 169 lots, fewer than an average month in 2026.

Where the money in the graded ticket market actually sits
Of the 3,480 tickets sold in the 12 months to June 2026, 109 went for $10,000 or more. Those 109 lots carry $4,818,562, which is 63% of every dollar spent in the year, off 3% of the lots. At the other end, 2,686 lots sold under $1,000. They are 77% of everything that changed hands and 10% of the money.
Narrow it further and the point sharpens. The ten most expensive sales of the year total $2,163,060, 28% of the money from 0.3% of the lots. A year earlier the top ten were 23% of a much smaller pot. So the market is not only bigger, it is more top-heavy than it was, and a monthly volume figure is closer to a reading of how many trophy tickets came to auction than of how many collectors were buying.
What the chart is useful for
Three things it answers directly. Whether this month was busy in money or in lots, which the measure toggle separates. Whether a run of quiet months is a slowdown or just an absence of headline lots, which the 12-month view against the 5-year view settles. And what a normal month actually looks like now, which is roughly 290 tickets and $630,000, against 41 tickets and $64,000 a month in 2020.
